It seems unlikely as Anthony Stewart Head recently stated in an interview that the series is heading towards it's natural conclusion at the end of season 7. This, however, while rumours are floating around that the network have offered Sarah Michelle Gellar $750,000 per episode to stay for an eighth year. We'll have to wait and see |

According to a news article in TV Zone magazine, the 6th season of Buffy which commences on UPN on 9th October with a two hour episode will see Buffy gradually resurected through the ever increasing powers of Willow, who it seems may turn into the show's main source of evil after she misuses her powers. |
