The team pursues Gabriel Ashlocke to a mental hospital but not before he coerces a young woman, Diana Moller, into...opening a time portal back to October 13, 1978. Gabriel has a cure for his current killing illness but it must be injected back into his younger self. Shalimar and Brennan go through the portal as well and try to catch up old-Gabriel as he kills his parents for his young-self and then takes the boy to Genomex where a young Adam is preparing to work on him. Meanwhile Jessie gets Diana back to Sanctuary and convinces her to send Adam (and an impetuous Emma) back as well. old-Gabriel apparently succeeds, injecting the serum into young-Gabriel and killing old-Adam. Jessie has Diana send him back five minutes so he can stop Gabriel and they all return to the present with history unchanged
